Enchanting Essaouira Escape ...

Essaouira or Mogador is one of the best destinations for one day trip from Marrakech. Situated on the Atlantic coast, Essaouira has a steady year round temperature in the C20's. Its golden beach is popular for windsurfers. The town is also famous for its' fresh grilled seafood, thuja wood carvers and silver crafters work... There are vast landscapes during the trip. If you wish, it is possible to stop for argan oil tasting in a small cooperative totally ran by women, where the argan oil is extracted. This oil is very famous for its uses in cooking and especially in cosmetics.

The visit of the town is pleasant and varied: the ramparts, the Medina which is the place where you will see a number of local artists and lots of craft shops, a lot of them exhibiting craft objects made of thuya wood. Marquetry remains the specialty of Essaouira
